Guitar Hospital

So around 1997-98, I used my tax return to buy a new Tacoma acoustic guitar.  And since I am not made of money, it has lasted me all these years.  The trouble is I taught myself how to play and, consequently, press toooooo hard on the frets.  So now my top five frets are all gouged out where the strings hit them.  Last week I dropped the guitar off to have the frets reshaped and the guitar set-up properly.  I miss my guitar!!  It feels like handing away your child….not that I have a child…but I will soon, and I can imagine this must be a little what it feels like.  TAKE CARE OF MY BABY MR GUITAR-FIXER-DUDE!
