I find it strange that the Pharisees always seemed to focus on the threat and not the miracle…not the changed life in front of them. Take Mark 3 for example.
"Another time he went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there . . . they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath."
The Pharisees knew Jesus could heal. They knew he could do the miraculous. But they didn’t care. They never stopped to look at the individual. They just always focused on who the threat he was.
Sounds silly doesn’t it? "Ok, so what Jesus can HEAL. According to rule 1203 Section B, subsection 24A, it is wrong." Yet how many times do we talk down another ministry or pastor because we don’t agree with something they’ve said. We don’t stop to look at the changed lives in their ministry. The souls snatched from an eternity without Christ and turned towards the one true God. No we don’t see that. Instead we focus in on the person in charge because their theology seems to be 3% wrong. Are we naive enough to think our theology is 100% correct?
It’s all about the changed life….the life healed through Christ Jesus.
