Packers – Cowboys. Both 1 loss team. Please tell me why it isn’t on TV?
NFL channel. That’s why. I’m bummed. Doesn’t make me want to get the channel….just makes me mad.

Life kinda sucks right now. Yesterday I had a 103 temp – dizzy – felt like my eyeballs were going to explode. Finally went to the Dr and got some antibiotics….big horse pills. The sucky thing is I can’ go near my wife or my kid. I haven’t held him in 2 days…now that stinks!
Good thing is today I’m starting to feel like a human again. Fortunately I had already planned to have someone else lead worship today, so I’m not needed at practice tonight. A day or two more and I should be safe.
I feel like a leper!
I am listing a new blog and it is worth your time!
Matt Furukawa is our very talented drummer. He is a machine. Honestly he is on of the best drummers I have ever had the privileged of working with.
Matt also does our worship planning, rehearsals, and helps with our creative process. He is a God-send and a gifted leader.
Why do you want to read his blog? He’s witty – unpredictable – and full of good ideas.
Only thing I hate about this season…besides the cold…is getting a cold. Never fails. I’d say my immune system was down with all of the traveling we did. Then – Wamo! My head feels awful. My nose feels aweful. I feel awful!
Pray for healing!
We had a fantastic day yesterday in worship. Going for something different we chose an accoustic set. Only my guitar, some congas, and 2 vocals. There was a great vibe and a great time of worship!
My Savior Lives – New Life Worship
Mighty to Save – Hillsongs
Angels we Have Heard on High/You are Glorious – Pickwell
I need a new heart. 52-50
Very sorry to Gary and Fred for us pulling out the greatest 4th quarter comeback in Neyland Stadium history!!! But I’m ahead of myself.
On Saturday we went to the Vanderbilt – Tennessee game. Now on the calender, this isn’t expected to be that great of a game. Probably why I was able to get tickets to begin with. But hey…its UT…its Neyland Stadium…its the last home game of the year…its Senior day. And any time I can get to a UT game its worth it. I think it had been 10 years since my last one!
But regardless of who we played, it was one of the most exciting game I have ever been to! Well…the first 3 quarters sucked. We sucked! Down 24-9 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Then we finally scored. Then we scored again:
To make a long story short we came from behind. At one point, we ran back a punt 50 yards. It was so loud my ears were ringing! I was jumping up and down and nearly fell on the lady in front of me! We kicked a field goal to go ahead. But then Vandy had their own big run back. We stopped them – but thanks to a blind ref on a bad interference call, they got another 4 downs. Again we stopped them, and it was left in the hands of their kicker. I swear he missed it by 1 foot. I actually thought it went in, but I could see our fans on the other side of the stadium going bananas. It was PANDIMONIUM!
Of course the drunk guy at the end of our row was in a good mood the entire time. We had to give him a high-five to get by him. He was a hoot.
Here are some fun pics for you to enjoy. If we get past KY next week, its off to Atlanta! Anybody want to fly me down and get me tickets to the game??

Then we went to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Had a blast! Here is a view from our cabin:
We mainly shopped and ate. Anytime Jennifer and I go on vacation the prevailing question is "Where do you want to eat?"
By far our favorite place is Cherokee Grill at the end of the strip. Get the ‘Prosperity Steak’. And be sure to get the spicy spinach mac and cheese. Holy cow.
Also ate at The Peddler. They actually roll out a big slab of meat and custom cut your steak. Plus there are smoke oysters on the bar.
And no Gatlinburg trip is complete without a trip to the Pancake Pantry. Yumm! All the cooks are Papaws and all the waitresses are Mamaws. You know they know how to make some darn good pancakes.
Up next…The Game!!!
